Helioscope is a cloud-based software used for the preliminary design of photovoltaic systems. It provides a tool for users to create single line diagrams or generate layouts for solar projects by integrating system design and performance modeling. The software also features a 3D visualization tool, allowing users and customers to get an overview aesthetically of solar projects, as well as to identify potential problems or issues. Helioscope can also be used to analyze the cost of the solar system while creating a bill of materials, or determine the payback period and other financial metrics. Helioscope improves design speed by a factor of 2-5x with its Google SketchUp integration and is easy to use all while still being an accurate model to send to customers.
